Orbit is designed with privacy as the core principle. Your data never leaves your computer. We don't collect, store, or have access to any of your personal information, contacts, or network data. Period.
1. What Data Orbit Processes
Orbit processes data exports that you provide from social platforms including:
- LinkedIn connection data
- Facebook friends and messages
- Instagram followers
- Twitter/X connections
- Bluesky follows
- Google Contacts
All of this data stays entirely on your local machine. Orbit is a desktop application that runs locally — there are no cloud servers involved in processing your data.
2. What We Collect
Conexkt (the company behind Orbit) does not collect:
- Your contact information
- Your social network data
- Your messages or communications
- Any personally identifiable information
- Usage analytics or telemetry
We have no way to access your data because it never leaves your machine.
3. Third-Party AI Services
Orbit offers optional AI features that require you to provide your own API key from services like:
- Google Gemini
- OpenAI
- Anthropic Claude
- Groq
- OpenRouter
When you use these AI features:
- Orbit sends relevant portions of your contact data directly to your chosen AI provider
- This communication happens directly from your machine to the AI service
- Conexkt never receives or has access to this data
- Your use of these AI services is governed by their respective privacy policies
4. The Landing Page (orbit.conexkt.com)
This website may use:
- Standard web server logs (IP addresses, page views)
- Netlify's standard analytics (if enabled)
This is separate from the Orbit application itself. No data from the application is sent to this website.
5. Open Source
Orbit is open source software. You can inspect the code yourself to verify that your data stays local. The source code is available at github.com/conexkt/orbit.
6. Your Rights
Because we don't collect your data, traditional data subject rights (access, deletion, etc.) don't apply in the typical sense. Your data is yours — stored on your machine, under your control.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
